Four million miles (6,400,000 kilometers) from Saturn in late 2004, the Cassini spacecraft snapped a series of 126 natural-color photographs—the most detailed portrait of the planet ever made. Cassini, which began its voyage in 1997, is one of the most ambitious missions to another planet.
